Artist Biography
Adam Conard was born in Jackson Hole Wyoming in 1982 and was brought up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He spent most of his summers in Austin Texas where most of his artistic inspiration spawned from.
A serious back injury at age 16 prevented Adam from doing any sort of physical activity for over 2 years. Searching for an outlet to replace athletics, he did his first painting, a 7 foot portrait of Stevie Ray Vaughn in black and white. The massive scale of the piece hinted at Adams refusal to fall into the confines of what was to be expected from an art student in his community. Since this piece, Adams exploration in the arts has exploded and he is currently known for his paintings, sculptures, photography, nature art, public works and for the performing arts.
Adam has spent recent years traveling to locations such as Fiji, Mexico, Costa Rica and the United States to teach art of all types to children and adults alike. He is currently working on various large proposals, a book and is spending a lot of time in his studio.

- 2007 Award of recognition for donation of a large painting to the Hillside Community Center in Colorado Springs.
- 2007 Received an award of appreciation from the Pacific Harbour Multi-Cultural School in Fiji for mural and sign donations.
- 2007 Awarded a grant for the Fijian Education Project
- 2005 Awarded second place in a nationwide mural competition.
- 2004 Received a grant from the Smokebrush Foundation to do a mural workshop in Mexico.
- 2002 Received a grant to do a public art project at Colorado College.
- 2000 Received Young Peoples Arts Award.
- 1999 Received 5 painting scholarships to 5 separate schools.
- 1999 Awarded first place in painting in statewide art competition. Colorado Fine Arts Center.
